Under
the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Nayef bin
Abdulaziz, of the Eastern Region,in the
Sheraton Hotel in Dammam will be held on 8-9 November to host the
Eastern Economic Forum 2017, to enhance the economic role of the private sector in
the national economy, by focusing on the process of economic
transformation and roles that can be exercised and led by the private
sector.
The
forum is an opportunity for further interaction between the public and
private sectors to discuss ways to expand the horizons of partnership
between them in implementation of the vision of the Kingdom of 2030,
which aims at a prosperous economy with fruitful opportunities and
active investments while at the same time attracting attractive
competition. Is based on a single vision and mission aiming to enhance the
business partnership in promoting the national economy, by highlighting
the policies and plans targeted to achieve diversification of the
economic base and ways to meet the challenges facing the business
sector.

explained that the forum tries to put all the issues of the private
sector and the challenges facing it at the table of the collective
debate, pointing that it brings together government officials,
policy makers, businessmen and economic experts of different
orientations under one roof, pointing to the governmental efforts to
enable and
to motivate the private sector to encourage innovation and
competition, removing many of the obstacles that have been limited to
play a greater role in the development process, which has had the
greatest impact, he said in enhancing the base of the national

concludes to a set of recommendations to back from the desired economic

forum will discuss three main topics, the first of which will discuss
issues related to enhance the public and private partnership, tools
and procedures to enhance the partnership and challenges and tools to
address them, and discuss ways to the competitiveness of the
business sector to diversify sources of income. The
second part discusses the role of economic integration in achieving
balanced development by addressing important topics such as: the
commercial sector in general and the retail sector in particular and
their role in economic integration, as well as small and medium
institutions and their effects The integration process because of its great economic value in
production, employment and income, while dealing with the
third axis: the prospects for the sustainability of the construction
industry, so discussing the obstacles and challenges facing the
construction sector and the mechanisms of support and means of
structural organization to keep up with economic developments.

pointed that in light of the new economic phase and major economic
projects in the country, which aims to move the economy of the Kingdom
from the dependence on a single source of national income to diversify
sources, it requires more positive interaction between the sons of this

explained that the Chamber is seeking to launch the Eastern Region Economic
Forum 2017, to enhance the role of the private sector in the vision
of the Kingdom for tomorrow, noting that there is intensive and
continuous preparations in the
Forum, pointing out that the forum will see the participation of a large
